Get creFITive! Our barefoot fitness room offers multiple yoga, meditation and breath work classes. Many physical and mental ailments stem from a disconnection of the mind and body and our culture is to help our clients bridge that gap.
Slow-paced yoga style where postures are held for longer periods of time, roughly 3-5 minutes per pose. This increases nutrients and blood flow to your joints, connective tissues, ligaments, and fascia. Yin yoga allows you to stretch rarely used tissues while pushing yourself to an edge of discomfort in both body and mind, as you will also be sitting with your thoughts.
Trapeze yoga incorporates traditional yoga postures with the use of a suspended parachute fabric rig. The use of the rig allows you to build up strength, stability, and deepens stretching. Trapeze yoga also makes certain poses, such as inversions and bridges, more accessible and easier to practice. We offer both beginner and intermediate trapeze classes.
Yoga Flow is when one pose moves smoothly and easily into another while following your breath. Moving to the flow of your breath provides a meditative quality to the whole session. You will find yourself both relaxed and energized by the end of our Yoga Flow!
Mind-body-spirit practice that improves one’s mental and physical health by integrating posture, movement, breathing technique, self-massage, sound, and focused intent. Qigong movements warm tendons, ligaments, and muscles; tonify vital organs and connective tissue; and promote circulation of body fluids.
More About Reece
In mid-2014, after years of physical labor and restaurant work, and only lifting weights for his health, Reece found himself, at 31 years old, over 300 lbs and badly out of shape. This is when he decided to seek out a new and more balanced approach to health and wellness. He began going to yoga and to educate himself about nutrition, our body’s natural rhythms and cycles, and the way the body operates. It was also at this time when he learned about qigong!
His own healing was so profound, that he began to consider ways in which he could share these innate healing gifts with others. In 2019 he decided to dedicate himself entirely to the healing arts. He has since left his old jobs of restaurant work at night and maintenance during the day, in favor of becoming a massage therapist, reiki master, and a Qigong instructor. He has found a new career path and a new meaning in life and wants simply to help empower others to realize their own potential.
